FIELD: mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: casing for a cushioning unit to buff impact and draft loads is proposed. It comprises a rear part engaging with the back stops of a railroad carriage and a front part able of connecting to the hitch beam. The opposite ends of the front and rear parts are fitted by mating flanges for the connection of the front part to the rear part with the help of threaded fastening means with the possibility of disconnection. ^ EFFECT: there is produced a cushioning unit block with a two-component casing with a removable yoke part which provides for buffing of shocks both under impact and draft conditions, has increased shock-absorbing ability and longer run, reduces repair expenditures, has decreased weight, can be used with different hitch types. ^ 19 cl, 5 dwg |
