The disclosure relates to biphenyl-3-yl carboxylic acids derivatives of formula (I) with the definitions of A, X, R1-R6 given in the specification, and/or a salt or ester thereof. Furthermore the disclosure relates to the use of said compounds for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and their use for the modulation of gamma-secretase activity.
