The method involves determining a depreciation price of a non-price charge of electricity, based on a price of a battery of an electrically powered vehicle i.e. electrically powered car, and estimated number of charges. The battery is indirectly equipped with a charge authorization unit that authorizes the charge after an action inducing a payment of the depreciation price. The charge is authorized only if the payment of the depreciation price is realized, before charging the battery of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling charge of a battery, comprising a charge authorizing unit.
