The method involves fixing guides handling hooks i.e. bobbin stands, on cluster of guides (3), and disintegrating a support plate of cluster of guide tubes (6) and the guides. The guides are extracted from upper internal elements (5). Centering devices e.g. centering pins (4), are replaced from the guides. The guides equipped with new pins, are transferred from a pin repairing stand to a storage stand in an immersed manner, using a remote controlled and motorized displacement assembly. The guides are reintroduced in the elements using winches cooperating with the hooks, and fixed on the plate. An independent claim is also included for a centering device replacing installation comprising a centering pin replacing stand.
