<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable unit efficiently improving an output strength of radio waves to be transmitted in wireless communication. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic key 2 includes: a case 4 constituted of a non-conductive material including an ornamental metal 8 in a part of a designed surface to satisfy designing property of its own appearance; and a transmission antenna 11 provided inside the case 4 for wirelessly transmitting its own specific identification code to a communication target.
