<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system wherein services which a DSRC network and a CATV network have, can be utilized in both a CATV terminal and a mobile communication terminal as an in-vehicle unit by interconnecting the DSRC (narrow-area communication) network and the CATV network expected to be installed. <P>SOLUTION: A combination system of CATV and DSRC is configured wherein a CATV network and a DSRC network are connected by a communication line via a multi-purpose base station, in which information that the CATV network and the DSRC network have, is made into database. The CATV network includes a plurality of CATV stations and a CATV center station for distributing contents via a communication line of a broadband LAN or the like. The DSRC network includes a plurality of DSRC relay stations connected to DSRC (narrow-area communication) center station and a communication line of an optical cable or the like and a DSRC base station including a plurality of DSRC radio devices connected to the DSRC relay stations.
