<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door which positively achieves holding of a closed state thereof and prevention of reverse folding thereof while preventing finger pinching of the operator. <P>SOLUTION: The folding door is formed of right and left stiles 2b, 2a adjacently arranged to a joint portion between right and left doors 1b, 1a, respectively; a joint member 3 arranged between both the stiles; and stile end caps 4b, 4a, 5b, 5a attached to longitudinal ends of the right and left stiles, respectively. The right and left stiles are rotatably connected to the joint member at locations that are each deviating on one side in a depth direction, and the stile end caps have engaging portions 9, 8 engageable with each other. When the folding door is closed, the engaging portions engage with each other on the other side in the depth direction with respect to rotating shafts 6, 6 of the stiles and at a central location between the right and left stiles 1b, 1a. Further depth-wise surfaces 10b, 10a, 11b, 11a of the respective caps abut on each other on the other side in the depth direction with respect to the rotating shafts 6, 6 of the stiles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
