<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for a flat conductor aimed at shortening while surely carrying out turning support of a pressing member. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector for a flat conductor heightening contact pressure of a flat conductor P with contact parts 22A, 31A of terminals 20, 30 by turning of the pressing member 50 to a closed position is provided with a metal fitting member 40 made of a metal plate with its plate face made parallel to that of the terminal. A housing has a plurality of retention parts 14, 16, 17 formed at a given interval in an alignment direction of the terminals, with the terminals and the metal fitting member retained with the retention parts 14, 16, 17, and with contact arms of the terminals extended in an insertion and removal direction of the flat conductor at a bottom wall side of the housing. The metal fitting member has a support arm 42 at a position above the contact arms 22, 31 each equipped with a support part 42A supporting the pressing member in free turning, and a shield plate 60 is attached to the housing 10 so as to cover a front-side top face of the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
