PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair iron in which it is possible to change a bending degree when curling hair by one hair iron. SOLUTION: The hair iron 1 includes a pair of grips 9 which is so prepared as to open and close by rotatably connecting a base end, exothermic parts 11 which are prepared opposite to the leading edge side of each of the grips 9, and an auxiliary case 15. For each of the exothermic parts 11, the opposite face is in the shape of plane, a curl part 13 in the shape of curve is formed on the back side of the exothermic part, an engagement part 17 formed from the leading edge side to the base end side is provided in both sides of at least one curl part 13, an auxiliary casing 13 is in an approximately semicylindrical form in which the outer face forms a curve of curvature smaller than that of the curve of the curl part 13, an engaged part 19 is formed in the inside face, and the engaged part 19 of the auxiliary case 15 is engaged with the engagement part 17 of the curl part 13 and thereby the auxiliary case can be inserted into and removed from the leading edge of the curl part.
