The invention relates to a mounting of a motor vehicle wheel using a wheel carrier, the said wheel carrier being associated with the vehicle via at least one arm formed of two links (1, 2) of which the inboard end parts are articulated to one another to allow the said arm a variation in length as a function of the relative angular configuration of the said links, the extreme outboard parts of the said links being articulated to the said vehicle and to the said wheel carrier respectively in such a way as to allow the plane of the wheel to be positioned in an angular driving position that differs according to the relative angular configuration of the said links, the said mounting further comprising an actuating system which comprises a binary control device for reversibly moving the said links between two relative angular configurations, these respectively being a stressed and a stable configuration.
