A reinforced chassis, especially for a roadster, has a box shaped cross member (22) set over the side sills and connected with same. The cross member is linked to a reinforcing frame (38, 42, 40) which is braced on the extensions of the side sills to strengthen the structure, between the B-columns (24), without requiring a roof frame. The cross member has a number of chambers set longitudinally. |
