<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of dealing with simultaneous distribution of different contents from a plurality of external devices. <P>SOLUTION: A multiple output control section 57 acquires a device list on the basis of discrimination by an external device discrimination section 55a in order to deal with a simultaneous content transmission request from the plurality of external devices 61-n. The device list describes thereon external devices authenticated on the basis of authentication information provided from an external device authentication section 55b. Further, the multiple output control section 57 includes a network management part for detection of a load on a network, provided to a network transmission/reception section 53, and performs transaction management to smoothly transmit contents between external devices by managing loads on the external devices and on the network on the basis of network load information from the network management part.
