<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter with high reliability having a wide range of color reproducibility and no display unevenness or the like due to elution of an ionic impurity by a color filter pigment, and to provide a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter for a liquid crystal display device having a RGB-LED backlight device, the display chromaticity of a green pixel is in the range of 0.240≤x≤0.300 and 0.600≤y≤0.675 in the xy chromaticity coordinates by CIE1931-XYZ colorimetric system, the elution amount of Br ion in N-methylpyrrolidone per unit area is ≤17 ng/cm<SP>2</SP>, and the green color layer has a pigment content of ≥27 mass% and ≤45 mass%. In another embodiment, in the color filter for the liquid crystal display device having the RGB-LED backlight device, the display chromaticity of a red pixel is in the range of 0.640≤x≤0.660 and 0.300≤y≤0.335 in the xy chromaticity coordinates by CIE1931-XYZ colorimetric system, the elution amount of Na ion in N-methylpyrrolidone per unit area is ≤4 ng/cm<SP>2</SP>, and the red color layer has a pigment content of ≥25 mass% and ≤30 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
