<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an information processing method capable of preventing the illegal use of a font that is usable in the image forming apparatus, but use of that by a user is undesirable. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to use the font corresponding to font data stored in a storage means or font data stored in a storage medium which can be loaded to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes: a header information collation means 304 for collating, based on a list wherein the header information about the prescribed font data is described, the header information about the font data stored in the storage means 303 or the storage medium 301 with the header information described in the list; and a display means 306 that does not display the font corresponding to the header information that agrees with the header information described in the list, but displays the font corresponding to the header information that disagrees with the header information described in the list, based on the collation results obtained by the collation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
