<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment, a communication system, a communication method, and a program for quickly and simply determining transmission reception start of a data file in short-range one-to-one communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The communication equipment includes: a communication part 102 for performing short-range one-to-one communication with another device by electric field coupling or magnetic field coupling; a detection part for detecting the direction of its own device, movement, or contact; a processing determination part 120 for determining the start of transmission of a data file to equipment where communication is established or the start of reception of a data file from the equipment where communication is established in accordance with the detected direction, movement, or contact; and a determined processing cancellation part 120 for canceling the start of the determined transmission or the start of the reception.
