<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drowsiness awakening device for remarkably improving the awakening efficiency for a driver and securing safety of a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device is a drowsiness awakening device 1 having a travelling state detection means 5 to detect the travelling state of the vehicle, an awakening control means 3 to give stimulus for making the driver of the vehicle awaken based on the detection result of the travelling state detection means 5, and a stimulus reduction operation means 4, provided in the vehicle, to reduce the stimulus given by an awakening control means 3 based on the operation by the driver.
