<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technique which can suppress the generation of strip banding and gloss banding. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 comprises a jet control section 372 where the jet amount of photo black ink is controlled using a first mask pattern 610 gradually increasing from a jet ratio R1 to a jet ratio R2 from the edges of a duplicated region toward the center and the jet amounts of the other ink are controlled using a second mask pattern 620 gradually increasing from a jet ratio R3 to a jet ratio R4 from the edges of the duplicated region toward the center.
