<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine causing a player to positively perform stop operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A main control device performs lottery processing for a combination, a first stop control which draws in and stops symbols forming a combination decided by the lottery processing by the stop operation in the range of the predetermined number of pieces and a second stop control which stops a reel even if the stop operation is not made. The combinations includes an advantageous combination bringing about advantage on the player and a disadvantageous combination altering a game mode into conditions more disadvantageous than those under current execution. A timer, which times the passage of time when the reel rotates, is provided. The main control device performs the first stop control until a predetermined time is counted up by the timer, and performs the second stop control when the predetermined time is counted up. In the second stop control, the stop operations of the reels are respectively controlled so that the advantageous combination is not formed if such a combination is won, and the disadvantage combination is formed if such a combination is won.
