PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum composition with less reduction of brightness, hiding property and flip/flop feeling when it is made to a coating film, usable for a water-based coating and excellent in storage stability of the coating. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for the aluminum pigment composition wherein an organic molybdenum compound-containing aluminum pigment composition is manufactured by treating a material scale-like aluminum flake with 0.01-10 pts.wt. of an organic molybdenum compound based on 100 pts.wt. of an aluminum metal component in the material scale-like aluminum flake, an organic solvent-soluble non-volatile component contained in the material scale-like aluminum flake is 0.7 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of the aluminum metal component in the material scale-like aluminum flake.
