PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge apparatus for efficiently detecting dot skipping and reducing a cycle time of the detection of dot skipping. SOLUTION: The droplet discharge apparatus 1 for drawing on a workpiece W by driving a functional droplet discharge head to discharge while relatively moving a head unit 13 on which the functional droplet discharge head to the workpiece W set on a set table 21 is provided with a discharge defect inspection unit 17 for inspecting the discharge defect of the functional droplet discharge head. The discharge defect inspection unit 17 has a unit 161 to be drawn on which a prescribed inspection pattern is drawn by discharging from the functional droplet discharge droplet to inspect and a discharge defect determining means 162 for imaging the drawn inspection pattern to recognize the image and determining the discharge defect.
