PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker capable of inexpensively and properly controlling supply of steam. SOLUTION: This heating cooker includes: a heating chamber 11 receiving a cooked object; steam supply sections 5, 6 for supplying steam to the heating chamber 11; an exhausting section 2 to which the exhaust from the heating chamber is circulated in accompany with the supply of steam; a cooling section 10 for cooling the exhaust of the heating chamber 11 by supplying the outside air to the exhausting section 2; a heating chamber temperature detecting section 16 for detecting a temperature of a gas between the inside of the heating chamber 11 and the cooling by the cooling section 10; a cooling temperature detecting section 17 for detecting a temperature of the gas after cooled by the cooling section 10; and a containing degree detecting section 19 for detecting a containing degree of at least one component included in the gas after cooled by the cooling section 10. The supply of steam by the steam supply sections 5, 6 is controlled on the basis of results of the detections by the heating chamber temperature detecting section 16, the cooling temperature detecting section 17 and the containing degree detecting section 19.
