<p>A method and system of active allocation of IP address are disclosed. The method includes the steps of: storing data of user attributes in a server, wherein each of the user attributes is correspondingly allocated a fixed IP address; by a client end sending a request for acquiring the IP address to the server through PPPOE dialing, wherein the request includes the user attribute of the client end; responding to the request, by the server allocating a temporary IP address to the client end, and establishing a temporary connection to the client end via the allocated temporary address; based on the established temporary connection, by the server comparing the user attribute in the request with user attributes stored in the server, and determining the IP address corresponding to the user attribute in the request based on the result of comparison; and assigning the determined IP address to the client end equipment and disconnecting the temporary connection between the server and the client end.</p> |
