The joint has a housing, and a ball (16) that is movably supported in a recess that is formed in the housing. A hinged bracket is connected with the ball. The ball is combined with a tube section (22) made of plastic. The tube section is attached at a surface section (26) of the ball opposite to an inner surface (24) of the tube section by a pressure die casting method. The tube section is provided with a fused material in the context of the pressure die casting method. A narrow distance remains between an inner surface of the recess and an outer surface of the ball. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the ball joint.
