BACK-LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE BACK-LIGHT ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: A backlight assembly and a display device for realizing thin thickness are provided to obtain an effect such as thickness reduction of the backlight assembly and the increase of light luminance by including a guide plate and a light source unit. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly comprises a plurality of optical guiding blocks and a light source driving unit(500). A plurality of optical guiding blocks comprises a light guide plate(200) and a light source unit. The light guide plate is arranged according to the first direction. The thickness of each light plate is reduced. The light source unit faces with the side of the light guide plate. The light source unit individually emits light source units in a local dimming method.
