SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL BROADCAST AND METHOD OF DIGITAL BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for digital broadcast and a method of digital broadcast capable of properly receiving superimposed data in an auxiliary channel of the received hierarchy even if at least a part of the hierarchy only is received in digital broadcast.

SOLUTION: Data of the auxiliary channel are generated for each hierarchy. Data of an auxiliary channel for an A hierarchy are superimposed on an AC carrier of the A hierarchy and that of an auxiliary channel for a B hierarchy is superimposed on an AC carrier of the B hierarchy. Even in such a case that the partial reception of the A hierarchy only is made, such a situation can be avoided that auxiliary channel data superimposed on the AC carrier cannot be used in an event of partial reception as in a conventional case, because data superimposed on the AC carrier of the A hierarchy are for the A hierarchy.
