<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly and efficiently encode a moving image having luminance changing in time, such as a fading image or a dissolve image. <P>SOLUTION: A variable length decoder 303 decodes encoded data 300 including a prediction error difference signal indicating an error between a luminance signal and a prediction image signal for a moving image signal having two color difference signals, motion vector information 414 and index information 415 indicating a combination between at least one reference image number and a prediction parameter prepared in advance per luminance signal and two color difference signals. A frame memory/prediction image generator 308 generates a prediction image signal 412 in accordance with the reference image number of the combination indicated by the decoded index information and the prediction parameter, and generates a reproduction moving image signal using the prediction error signal and the prediction image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
