摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scavenger for scavenging particulate substances contained in the exhaust of an engine 22 in which power outputted from the engine 22 can be more secured. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid automobile 20 sets intervals of the performances of recycling treatment to remove the scavenged particulate substances from an exhaust purifying apparatus 23 so as to be shorter, when output factors including at least one or more of the residual capacity of a battery 50, the temperature of a motor MG2, the ambient temperature, and the outside atmospheric pressure is in the predetermined output lowering range, the recycling treatment performed by the set intervals. Here, the more factors among the residual capacity of the battery 50, the temperature of the motor MG2, the ambient temperature, and the outside atmospheric pressure being within the output lowering range are present, the shorter the intervals of the performance of the recycling treatment are set.
