<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine capable of inexpensively and surely adhering and removing carbon particles. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device is constituted of: a main body casing 3 having an opening part 1 for introducing exhaust gas and an opening part 2 for discharging exhaust gas with opening area wider than that of the opening part 1 and the opening part 1 mounted at a distal end part of an exhaust pipe 8 of the internal combustion engine; an exhaust gas pressure lowering member 4 arranged in the main body casing 3 to lower pressure of the exhaust gas introduced from the exhaust pipe 8; a filter 9 arranged on a side of the opening part 2 for discharging exhaust gas in the main body casing 3 and made of a heat resistant inorganic fiber sheet to adhere and remove the carbon particles in the exhaust gas; and an air-permeable lid body 5 provided to be openable/closable in the opening part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
