<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint capable of distributing and carrying the joint load applied to a bearing part of a cross shaft member to a thrust direction while carrying it mainly in a radial direction, and capable of restraining the wearing progress in an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: The universal joint is provided with yokes 21 and 22, the cross shaft member 23 with short shafts 23a and 23b integrally formed in a shape of a cross, and a bearing 30 having a plurality of rolling members interposed between the short shafts 23a and 23b and the yokes 21 and 22. The yokes 21 and 22 have bearing supporting surfaces 26a and 28a orthogonal to a center axis Cj of the short shafts 23a and 23b and abutted to a plurality of the rolling members from one side of the axial direction, and the short shafts 23a and 23b are provided with a tapered surface 23t forming a certain tilt angle θ with respect to the center axis Cj and abutted on a plurality of the rolling members from the other side of the axial direction, and the rolling members are constituted by a plurality of tapered rollers 31 arranged radially in such a manner of having the smaller diameters as they come closer to the center axis Cj. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
