<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking device capable of stably moving a pallet, reducing the work load for maintenance and also keeping the costs low. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a parking device 1, a vertically-moving rail 7 and a laterally-moving rail 8 are provided at right angles to each other on a horizontal plane, while a pallet 3 of a rectangular shape in a plane view is movable and its longitudinal direction is parallel with the vertically-moving rail 7 on the vertically-moving rail 7 or the laterally-moving rail 8 and also can be transferred between the rails 7, 8. The parking device includes a laterally-moving rack 14 provided on a bottom of both ends in the longitudinal direction of the pallet 3 and extending in the width direction, a laterally-moving wheel 12 provided on a bottom face of the pallet 3 between the laterally-moving racks 14, a vertically-moving rack 16 provided at the bottom of a center in the width direction of the pallet 3 and extending in the longitudinal direction, a vertically-moving wheel 13 provided on a bottom face of the pallet 3 at both sides of the vertically-moving rack 16, a laterally-sending device 18 with a pinion 22 engaged with the laterally-moving rack 14, and a vertically-sending device 19 with a pinion 22 engaged with the vertically-moving rack 16.
