PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump rotation rate control mechanism in a cleaning apparatus having a pump driven by a constant speed motor in which the mechanism is operated to switch the rotation rate of the pump to the optimum value when a nozzle diameter of a cleaning gun is switched. SOLUTION: A mechanical power transmission means 6 having two different speed ratios which can be switched between each other is intermediated between a pump 2 and a motor 1, and a mechanical switching means 5 activated by fluid pressure in cleaning fluid supply piping 4 connecting the pump 2 and the cleaning gun 3, switches the speed ratio of the mechanical power transmission means 6 having the two different speed ratios by the mechanical switching means.
