<p>A headrest support device for an automobile seat is provided with a headrest support member (10) and a stay lock unit (20) which is mounted in the headrest support member (10) and locks a stay (4). The headrest support member (10) has a stay guide hole (13) into which the stay (4) is inserted and also has a mounting recess (14) open to an outer side face and communicating, inside the headrest support member, with the stay guide hole (13) from the direction intersecting the stay guide hole (13). The stay lock unit (20) includes a stay lock body (30) slidably fitted in the mounting recess (14), a lock bar (21) mounted in the stay lock body (30), and a coiled spring (22) for urging the stay lock body (30) in the direction in which the lock bar (21) engages with an engaging section (4a) of the stay (4). The stay lock body (30) is adapted so that, after the lock bar (21) is housed and positioned in a housing groove (36), a lock bar holding body (41) is mounted to hold the lock bar (21) in the housing groove (36).</p> |
