摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power to an EHC as efficiently as possible in a hybrid vehicle having the EHC on an exhaust path of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 110 controls a second inverter 66 to drive a second MG 30 in either a sine wave control mode or a rectangular wave control mode. An EHC 100 is configured to make it possible to electrically heat either a catalyst to purify an exhaust gas or the exhaust gas to be introduced to the catalyst. The EHC 100 is electrically connected between a neutral point N1 of a first MG 20 and a neutral point N2 of a second MG 30, via a relay 102. When the second MG 30 is driven in the rectangular wave control mode, power is fed to the EHC 100 by use of a potential variation of the neutral point N2 of the second MG 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
