<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the ticket reading method of a ticket reader for improving the reading rate of a code recorded on the surface of a ticket. <P>SOLUTION: The existence of an edge fold of a numbered ticket is determined on the basis of the contour data of the numbered ticket, and when the edge fold is detected, the contour data of the numbered ticket is corrected. The position (positional data) of a barcode recorded on the surface of the numbered ticket is calculated on the basis of the corrected contour data and the barcode is read on the basis of the position, thereby enabling the barcode recorded on the surface of the numbered ticket to be accurately read even when the edge fold exists in the numbered ticket. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
