<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which enables accurate detection of the presence of a human, and does not impair the designability of its body by solving a problem that the conventional air cleaners detect the presence of a human by using a temperature difference, which causes malfunction due to reaction to any heat source generating a temperature difference regardless of the presence of a human, and a problem that it is necessary to recess a concave human sensitive sensor installation part, which reduces a degree of design freedom of the body to impair the designability. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with a human sensitive sensor 5 as a human detecting means detecting the motion direction of a human, and a control circuit 6 equipped with a microcomputer 7 controlling the operation of a fan motor 3 from a detection signal of the human sensitive sensor 5. The human sensitive sensor 5 has a predetermined detection area 8. The control circuit 6 controls the operation of the fan motor 3 based on the detection signal of the motion direction of a human passing the detection area 8, which enables installing of the human sensitive sensor without impairing the designability, and enables obtaining of an air cleaner capable of accurately detecting the presence of a human. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
