PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for facilitating a maintenance work of a cleaning unit and also achieving size-reduction thereof. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: process cartridges 50 having a plurality of photoreceptor drums 53 disposed in parallel; a conveying belt 73 disposed facing the plurality of photoreceptor drums 53, for conveying paper P; the cleaning units 100 each including a cleaning roller 111 for collecting the deposit sticking to the conveying belt 73 in contact with the conveying belt 73, and a waste toner box 120 for storing the collected deposit. The cleaning roller 111 is disposed on the same side as that of the process cartridge 50 with reference to the conveying belt 73, and disposed on the upstream side of the process cartridge 50 in the conveying direction of the paper P, and the process cartridge 50 and the cleaning unit 100 are integrally drawn out from the apparatus body 10 toward the upstream in the conveying direction of the paper P.
