<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a PDP, in which the interior of the panel can be cleaned uniformly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a baking process, a cleaning gas is introduced from one (24) of two ventilation holes (23, 24) via a first exhaust path (33A) and one gap (32A), communicating with the first exhaust path (33A) to a barrier rib region (21A), then the cleaning gas is discharged from the other (24) of the two vent holes via the other gap (32B) and a second exhaust path (33B), communicating from the barrier rib region (21A) to the second exhaust path (33B), together with a gas desorbed from both (23, 24) or the other of a first and a second substrates (10, 20). Accordingly, the cleaning gas can be uniformly introduced in the interior of the panel surface, and high-quality PDP with proper uniformity in the surface of the panel characteristics can be manufactured.
