<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diaper for a pet with little material loss, and high production efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the diaper for the pet includes a step of transporting each of the sheet-forming straps 11 and 14 in the longitudinal direction thereof, a step of dividing each of the sheet-forming straps 11 and 14 in the width direction thereof, thereby connecting mutual straps 4 for the girth in the longitudinal direction, and forming two rows of diaper continuous bodies having a shape arranging a strap 5 for the belly part in the longitudinal direction, respectively, a step of forming a slit 6 for a tail in a part corresponding to the strap 5 for the belly part of each of the sheet-forming straps 11 and 14, and a step of cutting each of the diaper continuous bodies into each diaper for the pet. In the step of forming the diaper continuous bodies, each of the sheet-forming straps 11 and 14 is divided along a dividing line S1 meandering in the width direction so that the strap 5 for the belly part of each of the diaper continuous bodies is alternately arranged in the longitudinal direction.
