<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst carrier and a catalyst body suitable for a use of a fuel cell oxygen electrode that is low cost which has less resource limitation, and which has superior oxygen reduction activity, and to provide the catalyst body which even in the case of carrying a rare metal, such as platinum, is capable of reducing its usage amount, and is superior in catalyst activity and which yields high durability. <P>SOLUTION: This catalyst carrier in which on a conductive base material surface having carbon as the main component, at least two or more kinds of hetero atoms, such as, nitrogen and oxygen are introduced by the optimum amount, and the existing proportions of the hetero atoms are controlled and adjusted to a prescribed proportion and the catalyst constituted by carrying out activation treatment on it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
