<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a light weight bullet resistant woven fabric having excellent bullet resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bullet resistant woven fabric is produced by using a non-twisted high tenacity multifilament yarn having a total fineness of 200-950 dtex and a tensile strength of 17 cN/dtex or more as a warp yarn and a weft yarn and weaving them so as to have a 1150-1950 cover factor by using an air jet loom.
