PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform editing processing such as sorting or classification even if a double-byte character or a one-byte character is included in meta information of an obtained content. SOLUTION: The information processor includes a first storage part 17a which obtains and stores meta information of a content from a network; a control part 15 including a conversion processing means 15a which successively converts a plurality of pieces of meta information stored in the first storage part 17a to double-byte characters; and a second storage part 17b which stores the converted meta information. The conversion processing means 15a obtains one piece of meta information from the first storage part 17a, saves it in a first buffer 15a1, converts the metal information saved in the first buffer by a double-byte conversion part 15a2, and stores the converted meta information in the second storage part 17b after saving it in a second buffer 15a3. The control part 15 performs editing processing based on the plurality of meta information stored in the second storage part 17b and displays a content list on a display 11.
