<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toluene measuring system to sensitively and easily detecting the presence of toluene in air, and to provide a toluene detection method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The toluene detection sensor system has means to use a sensitive membrane holding an immobilized enzyme having activity inhibited by toluene, perform an enzymatic reaction in a reactor containing a substrate of the enzyme at a definite concentration and detect the inhibited activity of the enzymatic reaction.
