<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device which does not form a step on a protrusion of a workpiece when the workpiece is machined so as to have the protrusion by machining, and achieves bilateral symmetry of the protrusion with high accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The machining device is formed of: a bed 6; a Z-axially movable table 7 movable in a Z direction; an X-axially movable table 8 movable in an X direction; a B-axially rotatable table 3 rotatable in a B axial direction; a Y-axially movable table 9 movable in a Y direction; and a cutting tool 4 mounted on the Y-axially movable table 9. The machining device machines the workpiece 2 mounted on the B-axially rotatable table 3 by driving the movable tables 7, 8, 9, and the B-axially rotatable table 3. Further the machining device comprises a tiltable stage 16 and a displacement sensor 23. The tiltable stage 16 can vary tilting angles thereof in a C-axial direction that is a rotating direction about an axis in the Z direction and an A-axial direction that is a rotating direction about an axis in the X direction, on the B-axially rotatable table 3.
