COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING CARDIOVASCULAR EVENT IN HIGH-RISK PATIENT

Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for decreasing the risk of a patient with a high risk of occurrence and/or recurrence of cardiovascular event by administering the composition to a patient with a high ratio of oleic acid to stearic acid in the plasma, comprising ethyl icosapentate as an active ingredient.  The composition is expected to decrease the risk of a patient with a high risk of occurrence and/or recurrence of cardiovascular event, and particularly to have a preventive effect on occurrence and/or recurrence of cardiovascular event in a patient with a high ratio of oleic acid to stearic acid in the plasma.
