A hand-power starting mechanism for an electric generator of an engine includes a starter (1), a flywheel (2) and a crankshaft (2), wherein the flywheel (2) is installed on one end of the crankshaft (3) extending out of a crankcase (15), an electric generator is provided between the starter (1) and the flywheel (2), a rotor (4) of the generator is installed on the rotor shaft (5), one end of which is supported on a shell (6) by a bearing and the other end of which is connected with the flywheel (2), a stator (7) of the generator is fixedly installed between the shell (6) and a fan casing (8), the starter (1) is installed on the shell (6), and an iron core of the rotor (4) of the generator is provided with axial holes (4a) corresponding to the positions of pawls (9) that are movable axially on the starter (1). The mechanism is compact in the structure, convenient to install and reliable in operation, and makes the axial size of the engine crankshaft shortened and makes the structure simple.
