<p>The secondary air valve (1) has valve housing (6) with an inlet (2) and an outlet (3). A valve seat (7) with a valve opening (8) is arranged between the inlet and the outlet. The secondary air valve has a valve body (10) which is movable between an open position and a close position relative to the valve opening by a valve rod (13). The valve rod is formed in a partially hollow manner, so that a pressure compensation chamber (22) is connected with a control chamber (17) in a fluidic manner.</p>
