<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel for radioactive waste disposal for preventing the degradation of the sealing property of bentonite as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In this tunnel 1 for radioactive waste disposal, a gallery 11 is formed by drilling a ground 12, and an annular lining 20 for covering the inner peripheral surface of the gallery 11 is disposed. Between the lining 20 and the gallery 11, a filler layer 30 that is constituted by bentonite 32 and aggregate 31 that does not contain alkaline component or contains alkaline component of the amount that does not affect the barrier performance.
