<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus, using an array antenna, capable of reducing costs by reducing the apparatus in size by suppressing the number of components from being increased owing to a transceiver for calibration. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes a plurality of antenna elements, a transceiver for communication, a plurality of directional couplers, a power divider/combiner, and a transceiver for calibration. The transceiver for calibration includes a transmitting-side switch and a receiving-side switch connected to a transmitting side and a receiving side of the transceiver for communication. In calibration at the receiving side of the transceiver for communication, a calibration signal is supplied to routes of the transmitting side of the transceiver for communication, the transmitting-side switch and the power divider/combiner respectively and to a route of each antenna element via the directional couplers, and received via the receiving-side of the transceiver for communication. In calibration at the transmitting side of the transceiver for communication, a calibration signal is supplied to routes of the antenna elements via the transmitting side of the transceiver for communication respectively, and received via a route of the directional couplers and the power divider/combiner, the receiving-side switch and the receiving side of the transceiver for communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
