<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life fixing device wherein an area of a nip portion between a fixing belt and a pressure roller can be sufficiently secured, and also, the whole nip portion can be uniformly pressurized, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 7 includes: the fixing belt 21; a heat transfer roller and the fixing roller 23 coming in contact with the inside of the fixing belt 21; and the pressure roller 24 that is brought in press contact with the fixing roller 23 across the fixing belt 21. An auxiliary pressurizing member 28 constituted of a main pressurizing part 29 and an auxiliary extension part 30 extending from the main pressurizing part 29 to the fixing nip portion N is disposed between the fixing nip portion N and a guide roller 27. The comb teeth part 30a of the auxiliary extension part 30 enters the groove part 23c of the fixing roller 23 in a non-contact state to partly form the fixing nip portion N.
