<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device capable of uniforming the coating amount of a coating material in the coating width direction even when the kind of the coating material or the coating condition is changed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Flow adjusting blocks (21, 22) for forming a flow passage to spread the flow of the coating material in the coating width direction of the coating material are provided in a manifold (15) and driving means (23, 24) for deforming the blocks are connected to the flow adjusting block (21) and the coating amount of the coating material in the width direction is made even by deforming the blocks in the slit direction when the flow rate at the deformable position is larger than the flow rate in the neighborhood and deforming to the opposite side of the slit direction when the flow rate is smaller than the flow rate in the neighborhood.
